What's hiding around the corner,
What's waiting woefully in the wings.
We think we've now seen it all,
Let us see what providence brings.
To become the biggest killer yet,
Unfurling its truly ghastly surprise,
Belittling Covid 19 to a mild cold,
An affliction with an instant demise.
So we're keeping our fingers crossed,
For a vaccine against today's uncontrolled.
And future science to eradicate viruses,
To kill them before they ever take hold.
