To The Cloud
- - - - - - - - - -
O, cloud! Vaporous cloud! Stony cloud!
White cloud! Black cloud! Grey cloud!
Blue cloud! Brown cloud! Ash cloud!
Pink cloud! Purple cloud! And pale cloud!
In the open blue sky you freely round
Ridding on the best but cheap wind,
Slowly and swiftly all day long you float
Here, there, far, near and nowhere?
You are not naughty but quite good; when
You do fell as nectar as expected rain
The dry lands essentially wait and get
To grow golden crops for the living beings;
How many times I do think; o, soft cloud!
Like you to float in unlimited dreamy sky,
And to befriend, to be intimated with you
As well as to fell rain like you for mankind;
Will you help me making two wings, cloud!
Flying over there I'll invite you to my home
I'll entertain you with tasty fruits and curds,
My pet cat Tom will show you her arts;
At departure I'll gift you this simple poem
But bears your sweet and beautiful names;
At leisure and lazy time you shall read
To remind me and overcome gloominess.
