To The Cyclone Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

To The Cyclone

Rating: 5.0

Cyclone, cyclone, of the ocean-born
Such fears arise on your visitations!

Such wind, such rain you bring along
On your path a trail of destructions

You lift the waves higher and higher
And drive the ocean to our home and hearth

Twisting and turning the wind blows
The branches snap, the trees fall

Sleets of rain enter our homes
Driving us higher to hills and domes

Rivers cross their bounds and grow
Through villages and cities their water flow

Animals and birds lose lives and fall
Prayers go up to end your call

A beautiful poem! You have captured a very pertinent theme based on the current situation at this point in time! I would love if you address me by my name as you are like my elder sister! If am very outspoken. When I am addressed as Mr Dillip, I feel my PhD degree is a waste!
