To The Listening One Our Father

Who listens with the breath of the wind
Like the tides with the tides incoming and outgoing
Clear transparencies of emerald
So that this catches at your heart
And you a lone bird in a shattered tree
I can hear you listening to me
And your listening has the quality of a music
That will not let me go except to be entirely free
To speak with you in an echoing way the light into the darkness
The cooling waters into the cove.
The opal pavements into galaxies.
The obscure rose into blossoming.
