Too Late To Wake Up Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Too Late To Wake Up

Too late to wake up!
For many.
To know and accept only one God,
Is the Ruler.
And for many it's too late to wake up.

It's much too late to wake up.
For many.
To stop their idol worship,
And let this go.
For many it's too late to wake up.

Those self anointed and self righteous.
Equipped with talent to deceive.
Are heading towards a wall,
With their names on it.
And witnessed will they be,
Pleading on their knees...
For mercy and relief,
From their misdeeds.

But...
They are the ones,
Who chose a doing to fake faith.
And...
They are the ones,
Who chose to vacate The Maker.
With an evil to celebrate.

Those self anointed and self righteous,
Equipped with 'gifts' to quick deceive.
Will be seen on their knees pleading,
"God please forgive me,
For all the misery and misdeeds...
To feast on evil! "

And...
For many it will be too late,
To wake up from their evil...
Deeds.
Too late for them to awaken,
From their 'evilties'.

For many it's too late to wake up,
From a trust they let rust,
To dust.
For many it's too late to wake up,
From a trust they let rust to dust.
For many it's too late to wake up...
From their own destruction!
To make up.
From their own destruction!
To make up.
From its introduction.
