Toxins Poem by Barry Middleton

Toxins

Rating: 5.0

toxins in the air
toxins in the food
toxins in the water
toxins in the mood
toxic people
toxic pills
toxic chemicals
toxic spills
toxic religions
toxic smoke
toxic ideas
toxic jokes
toxic boundaries
toxic borders
toxic divisions
toxic orders
toxic decisions
toxic habitation
toxic beliefs
toxic radiation
toxic prejudice
toxic waste
toxic relations
toxic haste
toxic radio
toxic glow
toxins even
in the snow
too many toxins
nowhere to hide
heaven is toxic

A very realistic view...nothing is pure..feelings, emotions, relations all are toxic. Thank you for sharing.

There is no panacea to all these toxic things, but awareness and responsibility can start to mitigate some

Some will try to reduce their carbon footprint, some wont.

This poem is thought provoking and a good reflection on how we live Barry The line that caused me to sit up was toxic haste I put an end to that in my own life by living in a mountain wilderness and not to add to the toxic waste mostly off the grid. I don't know why but toxins in the snow makes me sad, it seems so pure and innocent in its white beauty

Thanks Norah. Yes, toxic haste is one of the worst of all.
