Tranquility - Poem by Aqeb Benazir Ibn Minar

Introduction: Wonders of the lights, the meditative aurora of the world...

In silenced sleepless nights
They draw me close to them,
Through visionary lands and sights
Of unfulfilled needs, the worldly fame,

Towards a realm without immorality
The immortality of kindness,
The poignant poise of sympathy
Lives be in them, placidness.

Airy lands of the skies
The soundless voice of paradise,
The symbol peace of serenity
Let it be released - Tranquility.

The way and manner you use metaphors to unravel your stanzas is splendid; I love the way you apply alliterations; Your rhymes are not slant; I think you know what you are doing; (Report)Reply

I really appreciate this poem. It makes me think of the Paradise earth that is yet to come, but will soon arrive. I feel like it brings out the idea of everything being peaceful and unified. We need more poems like this to remind us, that world conditions won't be like this forever. Jehovah God has promised us a beautiful, paradise earthly home, which we are sure to recive very soon. Love it! 10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10=100 (Report)Reply

i read ur poem.i think u dream about a utopia that is never found by man in today world. but you can find the serenity and tranquility in depth of your soul. your immoral soul created by God and your emotion and your idea about others. (Report)Reply

There is a new try a metaphors here. I think that you gave a thought to the figure of speech in this try. I the start, in my first fast reading I thought this was about lights, what they bring to the world; also it was for your introduction, but I think you are taking as the name of the poem suggest about the wonder of tranquility.

There are a few lines that can be taken either way. Perhaps one has to rea slowly this poem and do it at least couple times. I find your diciton fascinating.

    Keep it up!
