I adored being out on the immense, rushing sea, and I had myriad dreams,
Like slumbering, yellow days of summer, with its vibrant, gorgeous themes.
My dream was for a great sea adventure, when the blush was on the rose,
Like dreamy, starlit eves on a beach, with the cool sand between my toes.
My best friend and I liked to go sailing, like pretty bluebirds in blue skies,
Or the autumn colors' seemly drifting, in the hours of vivid sunset reprise.
Family members oftentimes would join us, like crickets in the bird chorus,
Or the sunshine pouring down on every region, like stars which adore us.
I lived in the house of ocean breezes, and waves meandering a jade sea,
And April undulating, waves cresting, as vivid jays drifted, wild and pretty.
Neighbors strolled through the sand, just for the pleasure of my company,
And graceful seagulls flew roundabout, as wild wind sang unaccompanied.
My heart longed for a great adventure, of silken sails on rough, sunny sea,
Like invading double stars at dusk, and a full moon on clear nights, maybe.
I longed to visit the world's beaches, like cool thrills of a November night,
When glorious rainbows are hidden, and silky dark makes up for the plight.
So, my best pal and I decided to take that trip, and we were quite thrilled,
Like glory days of purple magic, in the mistiness of the eastern, dawn hills.
Impending teal days were really active, like the rising of butterfly swarms,
Or evocative moments of lemon noon, when the bluebird chorus performs.
The sparkling celeste day soon arrived, and we headed for parts unknown,
And golden, dazed hours marched by, in hidden areas of grass overgrown.
We visited the glamorous Copacabana, and white sands of Cape Le Grand,
Then near Florida's Grayton Beach we kayaked, crystal thrills on demand.
And there were many others, where we dined and danced under the stars,
Vibrant, golden and lovely, like bright, scarlet sunsets on the planet Mars.
Like the times of night jubilation, in raucous evening music of the crickets,
With swarms of emerald fireflies roaming, from rosebush to dense thicket.
Soon we were returning home with regrets, like wilting flowers of autumn,
As amber sun is saying farewell, hued skies foretelling gold days to come.
The sweet memories followed persistently, like seasons caught up in time,
Always on the verge of one more vibrant bloom, as in summer's full prime.
Cont...2 You compared the night and days while in sea and while on earth brining out a contrasting and vivid picture to the mind. Very admirable. With pen you created a complete picture and scenes of sea travel.
Your kind response is so rewarding. Thank you so much for the pleasure of your lovely remarks.
Reading your poem is always a joy, about this poem: You mentioned about your dream to take a long journey through sea and everyone encouraged you....Cont 1
