You're lost in the ism of Rama
Leaving behind a mission of Rama
Whence a practice of euphony
Across the compass of tones
Treasuring a supernal bliss long trailed
You know the heft of the bliss?
As much as that of Rama
Ethereally coloured quantum
Your-way-caressed to melt
Into our souls abundantly scaled
Your realm of scales, mode of melodies
Credence of pristine musical perseverance
Whole spirit alone with Rama
Ineffable elation of a doctrine for salvage
How am I to accost?
Guru? swamy, rishi, poet, writer, father?
You're the immortal, empyreal adept
Permeated and permeating intransient
A cult of popularism for soul-liberation
How else be acclaimed than 'Nadabrahmam'
And 'Nadabrahmam' alone
Beautiful tribute to Swami Thyagaraja...to him God was Rama...Rama to him a friend...so God was his friend...he loved Rama...bullied...worshippped...played words with him...His composition- 'Marugela Ra- O, Raaghavaa' is an ideal example of how Thayagaraja associated himself with the Manifestation of Supreme God-head Thanks for this dedicated wonderfiul work...10
'How am I to accost? Guru? swamy, rishi, poet, writer, father? '....These lines are sooo beautiful! he just did not worship Ram, he loved him......he should be among his own list 'Bhagavtha athreya, sarunaku naradha prahlada parachara, ramadasulu....bhavuka sri raghu ramu ni pada muna, bhakthi chesina riti thyagarajunikku ipudu! '

Thank you for your comments! The thing about Kalyani, is that this Raga took me sometime to learn, I always confounded it with Shankarabharanam...the suddha madyama, prati madhyama difference..Thodi came easily than kalyani did, for some reason! ..and Kalyani is not quite my favourite raga. Bt I think its avarohana sounds better than its arohana.....I hope Swami Thyagarajulu above will bestow his grace upon me, for luck with this raga!
