Triumph! - Poem by Mary A. Boyd

In this carnal world, can one still muster up and ounce of love inside?
Is anyone remaining worthy to be called Your bride?
I marvel at Your strength, Your will to love mankind,
Even in these latter days where true holiness is so hard to find.
You still grant grace; You continue to show mercy,
And the world doesn't even realize it's You, they are so unworthy.
But Lord, I'm here, awaiting Your return,
With an everlasting fire of love that for You continuously burns.
I refuse to let attacks steer me off my course,
I will not let the enemy say he caused me to fall short.
I'll continue to press by staying in Your Word,
I won't bridle my tongue, my praises to You will be heard!
I'll continue to minister to those I know slander my name,
Because I know You are real, I will not play games.
I won't entertain carnal minds by stooping to their level,
I'll continue to seek Your face and grow more in the spiritual.
I'll take all that I go through and be an example to all,
Of how to survive the wilderness, how to get up after a fall.
Yes, I have fallen a few times in my past,
But I know You forgave me and into the sea of forgetfulness were all my iniquities cast.
So after I go through all You need me to,
I know I will TRIUMPH and ALL glory can be given to NOONE but YOU
