True Love Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

True Love

Rating: 5.0

That lovely scent of lavender,
Came drifting past me then,
It took me back to days gone by,
I long to be there again,
The thrush that sang so happily,
Upon the picket fence,
The sun shone down so pleasantly,
It was a moment,
Heaven sent,
And in that special memory,
You were there with me,
Sitting on your favourite bench,
As happy as can be,
That fragrant summer,
When we were young,
Imprinted in my mind,
There'll never be,
Another like you,
True love is hard to find.
