Trying To Preserve History Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Trying To Preserve History

Through the centuries many scrolls have been written
on parchment and even tree bark.

Trying to preserve the history of a people for the
future.

Treasures that can never be replaced once they are
destroyed, except in photographic memories.

Certain individuals and poets who preciously keep
everything safely tucked away in myriads of poems
throughout our history.
