Turn Off The Light Poem by Cory Jensen

Turn Off The Light

Turn off the light
Leave me in the dark.
The place that is home
The one place that yours.
Lock me up,
Bind me in these chains.
For its the only embrace I'll take.
Let me hunker deep in my soul
So shattered, beaten and casted off
I'm just another shadow on the wall.
Forgiveness is not in your words.
Love was never in mine.
You've already broken me
I can't breathe no more.
Let me leave this world,
The one that is so cruel.
All I want to do is be alone,
Turn off the light, let me go.
Whisper softly in my ear
I'll let you live in your world
If you die in mine.
For you won't go empty-handed,
The fear of losing is in your mouth.
Shut that door; lock it tight.
Lets get on with this
Just turn off the light.
