A red-eared moon
in a soft-shelled night
brings me back to you
under the turtle skies.
Well, it's just a turtle world,
hibernating in the cold!
And all I need is you,
so I won't die alone!
My shell is so soft,
they want to rip me apart,
I just need your love
to help shield my heart!
So, let's lay down on this log
and I'll climb into your shell,
we'll be safe and sound
and together we can melt.
Well, it's just a turtle world,
hibernating in the cold!
Let's bask in the light
of the gibbon's moon,
let's sleep away the night
in the Maraschino dew.
Let's throw out this mud
and dig out a home,
let's fill it up with love
to help keep us warm!
‘Cause, it's just a turtle world,
hibernating in the cold!
Warm your heart in the river
as the turtle world sleeps,
lean your head against my shoulder
and together we can dream.
