Tv. Images And Illusion Poem by JOE POEWHIT

Tv. Images And Illusion

Now I am done.
All day long, TV. on.
What is in my head? ? ? ? ?
Mixed up crazy, ''they said''.
Just don't make sense.
In my pocket one pence.
Million dollar life styles.
I live next to the garbage piles.
TV. said, buy this.
Don'y worry ACID-RAIN fits.
Global warming-glass swimming pool.
TV. said, BE COOL-NO FOOLS.
Rock band without music.
New life style - it's amusing.
Wars over - click the button.
Don't worry - TVs. - ON.
My friend for all of life.
Now my MOTHER.

TV use to be educational but now it is just becoming an idoit box. I see only money making serials, no proper stories, negative attitude in relations. Everyone is either a bad criminal or a victim of circumstances. Not ready/trying to rise out of them. There is too much violence on TV when nothing like that exists in real life. The kids see TV and take that to be a reality. This poem just shows how mixed up a person can become with too much TV.

God did not create man so we would sit and watch tv most of the time, if you ask me. But then i can't imagine that that is the purpose of living, or that it's purposefull to spent all this time in front of the tv.
