Two For The Long Haul Poem by Ima Ryma

Two For The Long Haul

Young lovers, we were starting out,
Not sure at all what future held.
Family and friends had their doubt.
But in both hearts we kept hope dwelled.
We loved through times both good and bad.
We made each other happy when
One or both of us became sad,
Done over and over again,
Kept us a happy, loving pair.
No matter what we had to face,
We found the happiness to share,
Together in each time and place.

Old lovers, we are still around.
Happy together keeps us bound.
