Two Reasons Poem by Dave Dafes

Two Reasons

In the season of gratitude, I stand,
With a thankful heart, hand in hand.
Thanksgiving's feast, a joyful array,
Yet, my true thanks, I long to convey.

For in this life, two gems I've found,
Reasons for gratitude, profound.
Not in riches or worldly gain,
But in you, my joy, my constant refrain.

First, the warmth of your tender grace,
A love that time cannot erase.
Through every trial, in joy or strife,
You are the cornerstone of my life.

The second, a treasure so divine,
In your eyes, love's purest sign.
With each glance, my soul takes flight,
In your embrace, all is right.

For these reasons, my heart beats strong,
In your love, I truly belong.
Thanksgiving's joy, a heartfelt view,
My gratitude, my love, all for you.

As we gather 'round the table's gleam,
In the warmth of love, like a sunbeam.
Two reasons to be thankful, clear and true,
Both reasons, my love, are all in you.
