Silbury Hill 1988:

In only 8 weeks,52 circles were found within 7 miles of this famous
ancient man-made earth mound, the largest in Europe. Fifteen
appeared within a few days in a wheat field opposite the mound.
The day before, Mary Freeman was leaving the scene

of the ancient stone circle at Avebury not far away. At 11: 30 pm
she saw a large golden disk-shaped object within a cloud. A bright white
parallel beam of light came from the bottom of the disk at an angle of
about 65º and shone toward Silbury Hill,1.5 miles south, causing fright.

Suddenly about six articles, which were in a recessed pocket below the
dashboard came out, landing on the passenger seat and her lap to the right.
There were several other similar reports near circles. An 11,000 volt power
line passed over the set of circles, but there was no power loss that night.

Other Mysterious Events:

While measuring the radius of a circle, they noticed that the compass
in the center was spinning CCW. Then it stopped and never happened again.
At Dog-leg field, Longwood Farm, two incidents were simultaneous.
Busty's video camera jammed, and Pat was winding film in his camera when

it jammed. The film was unharmed but the shutter curtains were buckled upwards,
making the camera useless. Busty's video camera worked a few minutes later.
On a second visit to a circle in Dog-leg field near Winchester about 7 pm 4 July 1987,
they heard a loud hissing crackling sound that gave the impression it was greater

than 10 metres away and jumping over the tops of the crops, covering 8 metres
to a hop. It was similar to a high voltage discharge but with a pulsating beat.
It faded away. In the circle at Town Farm 8 Aug 1987 there was a loud knock
like a hammer hitting the lid of a wood box. At the 3 circles beneath the neat
White Horse at Westbury they recorded 90 minutes at the center of the ellipse.
On the tape there was similar knocking at irregular intervals. They were singles
or in pairs with 1 to 1.5 seconds between them. The intervals were 15 seconds to 3
minutes, with varied loudness.32 doubles and 11 singles in 45 minutes were mingled.
