God made a man, and put him into the garden
Of Eden to dress it and to keep it, and God said,
Don't eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, or
Surely you shall die that day.
And the LORD God said,
It is not good that the man should be alone, so he
Decided to make him a helper.
Derived from the ground, God formed every beast
Of the field, and every fowl of the air, and
None had a name, so He brought them unto
The man Adam to see what he would call them.
Every living creature Adam named, God accepted.
And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to
The fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field.
There was not found a helper for Adam, so
He (God) caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam.
Even as he slept, he took one of his ribs.
From the rib God had taken, he made a woman,
Ripe and beautiful, and brought her unto the man.
Until then he was lonely, but now Adam said,
I now call her Woman because she came from Man.
This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh.
God said don't eat the fruit... A marvelous Acrostic indeed...not only for the beginning points but also for the turning points which carry to the next line with a magical flow....of course, creativity is the gift of The Creator...the poem goes to my poem list...
I have several other acrostics. Geology is Gorgeous is one. Herbs Are... etc.
God said don't eat the fruit A sweet spiritual story that is summarized here in this biblical characters composition/poem. Thanks for sharing my friend!
