Undeniably Delicious Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Undeniably Delicious

Many can not handle scandals.
Especially the ones revealed.
The ones old maids,
Find undeniably delicious.
After sitting and gossiping.
Then to fantasize their wishes.

Hearsay of scandals concealed.
Are often suspected.
To ignore the evidence left undetected.
But let someone achieve notoriety,
There will be those seeking publicity.
Claiming to have had an encounter,
With the one accused...
In participating actively,
During unwanted and drunken sleaze.
The kind normally not admitted.
But the attention to get,
Is expected by the one...
Declaring they know,
What happened so many years ago.

And it's always about having sex,
One regrets.
If the act of it had not been romantic.
Or someone forgets,
Who they did it with.
And why after years,
Disappointing tears appear.
To discredit another's reputation.
Hoping the doing solicits a confession.
But,
When a scandal is not fresh.
Even old maids get upset.
When learning to know,
What they had gossiped about...
Is far less than they see.
Everyday on the streets.
Free.
And today those much younger,
Do not call them scandals.
They call it just sex to do.
With whomever they please.
