Unexpectedly Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Unexpectedly

What memories can you and I
Begin right now to create?
As this feeling comes unexpectedly,
To descend upon us that baits!
I admit right now I'm caught off guard.
And you must feel the same.
I'm trembling in such nervousness...
Whatever this is that came.

This magic spell we're under,
Even arrived with thunder too!
A rain storm announced is approaching us...
Can you feel sparks flying as I do?
And that lightening bolt that struck...
Made you jump into my arms.
Something is going on with this,
Since neither one of us has moved
In alarm...
But has stayed glued,
By this quite befitting magic charm!
