Unfortunate I Am Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Unfortunate I Am

Rating: 5.0

Across the wide corridor of life
I have given shelter to many seasons
Love, hate, hunger and treason
Make a crowd without valid reasons

Roof of misfortune was always
Leaking and kept me soaked thick
No corner was safe to hide and
With torrents of tear walls were weak

Leafs of solace that fell from trees
Of known souls around dried too soon
Days were scorching with the raging sun
Nights seemed eerie without the moon

Across the wide corridor of life
It seemed I was the unfortunate guest
Around me sinners as wolves of night
Tore away my limbs without taking rest

Sweet, sour and bitter- time turns up so many tastes and flavours during life. Sometimes, the dark shadows take the better of happier times and their memories. You have succinctly portrayed these feelings in the poem. I have no hesitation in saying that this is one of the best poems ever read by me. It goes as my favourite poem. Thanks a lot, Anil ji.
