Unicorn Meeting Poem by Micron

Unicorn Meeting

In the hidden forest the dense morning list starts to thin
As the sun rises on high sending its warmth and light within
The lingering fog inside is given a gentle luminescent glow
Detail of the plant life inside it now does show
Dark waxy spiked leaves glisten on the holly tree
Studded with magical red berry glossy berries we can see
Around black brown green budded bare branches drape
With shimmering glittering dew jewels nature does make
White blossom emerging from the hawthorne bush
And delicate yellow primrose with large velvet leaves so lush
The path is hidden with twigs and deep rustling leaves
So its position and direction we can no longer perceive
Mesmerised by the beauty I continue where I don't know
The path is hidden though the way something inside does show
The undergrowth now gets much thicker and higher all around
When suddenly in the distance a clearing I have found
A lush green meadow grass in the distant mist I can see
With wild flowers, such as violets and the wild strawberry
Light pours from it, the end of the tunnel through the trees
The silent and beauty around nearly brings me to my knees
Then silhouetted a ghostly figure in this light does appear
I stop frozen unable to move knowing I must not go near
For a horse of purest silver and white is standing just there
Its huge gentle brown eyes at me does lovingly stare
Eyes that have seen worlds unknown to you or me
Places realms that no human will in this life will see
From his forehead emerges an elegant milky white horn
While around him love beauty virtue purity does him adorn
Eyes locked I knew he looked directly into my very soul
I felt his peace and love enveloping making me feel whole
Then as silently and suddenly he just disappeared
I looked but he was nowhere to be found, as I had feared
Put his presence is engraved deep on my heart
The memory of that moment will now never depart
And deep within me something was stirred
