Unquenchable. Poem by Nabakishore Dash

Unquenchable.

Rating: 5.0

Miscellaneous are the
desires born in our psyche.
Some are satiated,
deem them 'okay'.

Some are tried,
but partly attained.
Some we long for,
fully consummated.

Some are the wishes
we enjoy and relish.
Still remain unquenchable,
their depth is abyss.

Passion for possession,
palatable nutrition, coition
and life-span would never
reach fullest satisfaction.
Neither men in the past
were ever nor men in
present and future would
reach total gratification.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Four human thirsts were ever gratified in the past, nor would be in present and future.
