Unrepentant Sinner Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Unrepentant Sinner

Too late unrepentant sinner fell upon his knees
Begging forgiveness for life of wanton indifference
Debauched, selfish, seeking pleasures of the flesh
Showing no kindness nor regard for fellow man
Denying God's love and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Hearing in his mind whispered bribes from Satan
Offering earthly desires for price of his soul.
Death took him suddenly, accident unexpected
And coming to Heaven's gates thought to enter
Without Satan's claiming soul purchased.
Beating on the gates called for them to open
Terrified of Hell's torments and never seeing God.
No Saviour came only Satan dragging him away
Forever to languish among Hell's dancing flames.
