Unseen Terror Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Unseen Terror

(Coronavirus 2020)

Ordered by Governments
Into self-isolation
People cower before the terror
Unseen killer sweeping the world.

Millions dying
Mostly the elderly
Lungs attacked struggling to breathe
Isolated in hospital wards.

Families grieving
Virus like a wildfire spreading
Doctors and nurses struggling to cope
People afraid of meeting outside the home.

Devastation of mind and hope
Wearing face masks
People wait for the epidemic to end
Afraid there will be no victory over the virus.
