Unrequited Love Like A Sunflower Loves The Sun Poem by Terence George Craddock

Unrequited Love Like A Sunflower Loves The Sun

Rating: 5.0

unrequited love is a nuclear winter

unrequited love is like a nuclear winter too dark long
in chill winter darkness no birds will sing a song
for return of the sun all life surviving must long
in ash cloud cold chill days for the sun we long
no birds no chirping melodies no life joyous song
unrequited love is like a sunflower waiting for the sun
unrequited love is like a sunflower gazing up at the sun
unrequited love is like a face looking up at the sun

unrequited love
is a cold
sterile world
where sunflower
cannot love the sun
