Emily Blackburn

Us - Poem by Emily Blackburn

When I sit and think of you
A smile broadens across my face
I can see your eyes and the way they sparkle
I can feel your touch and warm embrace.

There we lay on top of a mountain
On a cliff top or a woodland floor
Being immersed in your presence
Is something I will always adore.

Times with you have been truly amazing
You’re funny, courageous and cool
Now its time for us to be together
So stop acting like a fool.

I know things aren’t that clear cut
And times ahead may be tough,
But remember something you’ll always have
And that Mikey is my love.
