Us Poem by Emily Howard

You said yes while I said no.
I said stay and you said go.
You said "us" but I said "never."
You said "listen" and I said "not ever."

I said go and away you went.
You ignored them no matter how many times I sent.
I knocked three times and you just sat.
You rolled your eyes when I said, "I'm sorry for that."

"Please take me back? "

Never was I so unsure of how you would react.

But, hey! I guess opposites attract!
