see, ive been set free
for my heart finally realizes
my mind displaced, as i now have faced
the unwelcomed truth
removing the blindfold from my eyes
instead of filling myself up on my own lies
that i am nolonger in love with you...............
just in love with the man i used to know
so i begin to peel back... the layers of our past...
and i reluctantly let them go
misery as i unravel the true/fake memories
from the now, and from our history
as i finally see...that i am still in love with what used to be
still in love with times of so long ago
not of this stranger, but of the man i used to know
i am able to admit and say
that i am no longer in love with you
i am in love with the man of them old days
anyhow, i know now
that these past memories must die away.....
