Vaccinated Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Vaccinated

Rating: 5.0

In the latest trend
Everyone is desperate
To try and catch the train
Before it's too late
The "haves" and the "have not"
All eager to stay alive
But the spectacle of inequality
Stains this innocent posture
It's the train of life
That everyone is chasing
But this life my friend
In not a piece of cake
To be shared equally
Among human beings
This life has a price tag
Too steep for those with shallow pockets
Some of us will await our turn
Not because we are brave
But because we are beggars
Our life as before
Will be in the hands of God
We can only follow the guidelines
And wear our masks
Social distancing and wash our hands often
We pray for that day
When we will share the same platform
As everyone else
Vaccinated with peace, happiness and Love
We shall ride the train of everlasting life

God sees the poorest in society, we must only have the belief in Him. Excellent poem, perfectly worded! 5 Stars!

Profound poem, yes this world if filled with Hypocrites. You throw a stone it is likely to hit one. Your poem is a satire to unearth their hidden face. Full Stars.
