Vice Presidential Debate Poem by Darwin Henry Beuning

Vice Presidential Debate

Rating: 3.5

4 October 2016, An important date
For American Citizens to decide
Our country's fate

Two candidates for VP
Tim Kaine, Democrat
Mike Pence, Republican

Two, seated side by side
Ninety minute format
AGREED TO by both sides

The moderator
Was not qualified
Did not maintain control

I was impressed by Pence
Cool and calm
Under control

On the other hand
Kaine behaved badly
Ran amuck

Reminded me of a puppet
On an old TV show
'Howdy Doody'

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I watched the entire debate running from 7pm until 8: 30pm. Watching, a poem developed in my head. 'Howdy Doody' was an American children's program running from 1947 until 1960. Howdy Doody was a puppet. written 7: 30am,5 October 2016.

A very amusing picture, a good smile. Mike Pence lives in the shadow of Trump, but he must be competent enough.

I did not see the debate, because I was watching the American League Wild Card game. Blue Jays beat the Orioles 5-2 in 11 innings. Maybe just as important as the debate? No, you probably said. Well, tonight I will be watching the National League Wild Card game between the Giants and the Mets. Go, Mets! Nice poem, by the way.

Exactly right. Kaine was the epitome of rudeness. Pence only got half of his time due to the constant interruption of Kaine and the moderator. Despite that, almost everyone agrees that Pence won the debate.

The next Presidential Debate is scheduled for Sunday,9 October 2016. I recommend Judge Judy for moderator. She would ensure strict compliance with the agreed upon rules.
