Virus Madness Poem by Darwin Henry Beuning

Virus Madness

Rating: 5.0

Wide awake,
Early, this February morning.
The tune and some of the words
To a song came to me.

Goodby cruel world,
I'm off to join the circus.
I'm going to be a broken hearted clown.
Shoot me out of a cannon,
I don't care,

I don't care,
If I wear red underwear,
Goodby cruel world

A tune for us All,
We who remain, in this Virus World.

Cute song. I just listened to it yesterday, though, and I didn't hear the line about the red underwear.

I did not remember this song, so I Googled it. It was sung by James Darren. I listened to it and still did not remember it.

My wife and I received the second dose of the vaccine the day before yesterday.. I don't really remember this old song, but it sounds fun. I will have to look it up.
