Vote For You! Poem by Joseph Dela Sulh (losembe)

Vote For You!

Who do you vote for, buddy?
Who can you give a vote for?
Who else but yourself and YOU?
GET YOURSELF AND YOU ELECTED.

My votes have been spoiled.
Useless time wasted in vain.
Writing this work on purpose.
I don't care a little about rhymes.
Read me the best or least you can.

From my eighteen years old,
Wastes of time began to rain.
I voted for change but got desolation.
Disappointment all time in rendez-vous!

Over ten years, I saw no change at all.
The elected only work for themselves.
No pity, no compassion, no virtue.
They live for themselves, only that.

One may go further and say for their bellies.
Civil servants, soldiers, 👮 policemen,
Teachers, students, housewives, to name a few:
All live hard time and predicaments.

Despite, no pity nor compassion at all.
Atrocity has become a new breath of life.
Vice, a new footprint of the whole nation.
Virtue, in constant conflict as a nemesis.

Who caused that, the people I voted for.
Who got things worse but the elected.
Who let things become such unbearable,
The guilty one is YOU AND YOURSELF.

Next time, vote for YOU but YOURSELF.
No one is more reliable than You.
No vote trustworthy but Yours for You.
No more support 'cause You aren't a shelf.
