Nestled in fertile planes of North India
Is a small town of Vrandavan, filled with much
Revered devotional and transcendental music.
Crossing the town I closed my eyes for few seconds

Savita ji, this poem has nicely re-created the divine atmosphere of Vrindavan in the backdrop of its streets and temples situated at the banks of river Yamuna. Further, the place reverberates with the scintillating stories of Krishna Lila which has sung by Bhakta poets right from Jaideva, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Mirabai and many more which people know and recite as folk lores. Thanks a lot, Ma'am.

The beautiful story of Krishna and Radha retold in a capturing way resonant with the heavenly strains that echoed in the garden of Vrindavan! We are transported back in time to the frolics of Gopas and Gopis! Another 10

The centuries old Vrandavan attracts many mystics towards her and motivates many for devotional excellence. This beautiful poem is very informative and heart touching.10

A fantastic expression has been made on Vrindavan, at the edge of Yamuna, Krishna along with devotional music and sweet song of Meera, a great devotee of Krishna. The transcendental state of Meera is being nicely inscribed here.... एैसी लागी लगन मीरा हो गयी मगन वो तो गली गली हरि गुन गाने लगी महलों की पली बन के जोगन चली मीरा रानीं दिवानीं कहाने लगी।। A beautiful poem nicely executed.10

What a lovely poem Savita ji, The holy place of Vrindavan and the presence of Lord Krishna playing his magical flute surrounded by Gopis is a vision, so close to my heart. For all dancers and singers, the story of Lord Krishna has always remained the most enchanting. Singing and dancing the glory of Krishna has been a part and parcel of my artistic journey too. Enjoyed reading this poem, Savita ji. Thank you.....10

Thank you so much Geeta for your lovely comment. I too can’t think of a place other than Vrandavan and of a life other than Krishna’s that have influenced our dance, music, poetry or literature more than that. I can so well admire your fondness for it all.
