Wait Poem by Nosheen Irfan

Wait

The trees await
A burst of rain
The dust-coated leaves
Long to bathe
In an uncensored shower
And
Streets with sooty air
Gardens with unquenched shrubs
They want nothing
But to be drenched
In
Crystal clear waters
And of course
Of course
The heart needs too
A saturation
A cleansing
For it's tired, so tired
Of thirsting
And breaking.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Prolonged dry weather makes one crave rain. Of course people living in England cannot relate to it.

They want nothing but crystal clear water....I can feel what the poetess wants to convey through this little expressive poem. Extremely well penned. Top score.
