Waiting (About My Biological Dad)

Rating: 5.0
I sit in my dark corner waiting for him to come find me.
He keeps me waiting from sunrise to sunset.
Can't he stop me from waiting everyday?
I hate waiting for you!
Just come get me already from this waiting time.
Daddy stop making me wait for you!

Just because he's your biological parent doesn't make him your dad. My dad ran off when I was a kid I know where he is but he's not worht my time of day, I spent to much time wanting him back as a kid that by the time he came back I didn't want it. Your dad maybe out there but if he left you there to wait for him he's not the best dad in the world. When I finally found where my dad was he has two kids 5 and 2 that I had never even heard of finding him won't be as great as you expect it to be my dad turned out to be an a$$ who wanted no more of me than he did when he left. I expected him to love me but he loved his new kids his new life just because he is biologically your father doesn't make him a dad

Good poem. Still, stop waiting in a dark corner. Love those who are in your life. These are your mother and father, those that care for you. Live now in this present moment. If you must anguish over who your bio dad is, take action. Do all you can to find him yourself. Realize though, that he may not want to be found. Avoid wounding those people who have lived as your true parents by caring for you and meeting your needs. They probably understand your need but can feel betrayed if you seem to long for a relationship with bio dad but neglect being thoughtful and thankful for them. I know this from being the adoptive dad.
