Waiting For Spring Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Waiting For Spring

Beside the flowing river there,
are trees now empty,
of leaves to share,
upon the ground they fall to rest,
to make a home for life's insects.
A haven for their population,
In hiding from the human nation.
They cling for warmth amongst the leaves,
Waiting for spring,
For the sun and the breeze.
