Walking My Path Poem by Jeri Martindale

Walking My Path

Rating: 5.0

Seeking all I can get out of my path of life; knowledge fullfillment, paradise!

I feel if I hold my arms out to it all, I might stay on the path that I climb; I'm learning how to balance now, I realized if I can't hold onto it all that I begin slipping, taking a fall.

The good, the bad, the right, no wrongs. How would I learn anything if I didn't allow myself to experience it all as I walk the road that I am on?

I hold so many things inside my soul, my body is balance, my heart is whole.
Standing on the edge of everything, standing on the edge of nothing. The universe screams at me speaking of something, the wind blows around me keeping me company.

It's playing its tune as it softly touches me; no, this is real, not a dream.
Seeking nothing, looking for something along this path aimlessly wondering. I've learned not to expect a world full of only greatness, realizing life will reveal its secrets and pour down its benefits only when the time is perfect. The key lies in listening for the words it speaks, falling from the skies, landing upon me.
The dreams, the hopes, the future, no fears. I have learned to grow through all these years. Thoughts constantly filling my mind, I know inside what seems right, my heart tells me that forces are leading me; it's destiny calling out my name. Quielty guiding me along the way, fullfilling my every dream, only this time I am awake.
