Walking Stick Speaks Poem by SALINI NAIR

Walking Stick Speaks

Rating: 5.0

It moves ahead
Control wheels to its norms
Time that hold its hands
Sheer movements that it dictates

Long ride that now loss and riddle
Amaze the time that shed and not marked
Now cane the dictator of life
Unwritten life that follows the meddle

Gray hair that speaks the past
Wrinkle that reflects the loss
Glow that reverted to dullness
Change that necessitate in life

Past that dash all the sticks
Once used to shatter the silence
Today in this solitude
Only mentor of short life

Time that's short as minutes
Structure that rest to some corner
Drama that's about to end
It's the end of a tacit era

It's the padding of life
Where Unintended rules
Denial march
But the memories escort! ! ! !

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Makes so much sad feel on reading the poem which is beautifully created by the poet. The old age is such a thing difficult to pass where there will be necessity of walking stick which is the good friend and savor of the time and helper to move. Nicely written with clarity of visions.

Changes that necessitate in life includes the walking stick. We see it in many forms in villages, towns, and cities. Beautiful poem. Thank you.
