You gave me a reason to smile,
And made me feel worthwhile.
I couldn't believe I found you in time,
And helped with the mending of the pain
Just so that I would feel fine
And for once I feel like
I can finally have someone to be mine.

I just want to cry
And I don't know why
It hurts this bad.
It makes me so sad
To see you go on by.
The wings have been cut
And I cannot fly
To get by your side.

You gave me a reason to feel better
But the sweet taste burns bitter.
I saw the truth
When I met her,
And you made
The emotion stir,
But it went by so fast
In a blur.
I felt the turmoil.

I just want to cry
And I don't know why
