War Poem by diana rose tolentino

War

Rating: 5.0

Between the ice is the fire of war
Solemn but rigid, peace with rage
Blazing swords coated with blood
Fast as the wind, arrows took lives.
A battle of man fighting for pride.
Both fleets saying God is on their side.
After the bloodshed, grave mine of men.
But in God’s name, both are declared losers.

Oh yes, you got it young lady. War is a battle for pride, and hipocrisy, and there is no win win game in war - all are losers.
