War Poem by Paul Storm

War

Rating: 4.5

The hollowed holes
Once upon a time-
Breathing

To the other side!
Raise that fist once more
Hold together that damned soul

Then run, run baby!
Towards peace, peace
Pieces, then more pieces

Time reconciles all
On account of the wind
Breathing over the departed

Terrific last stanza. A memorable and beautiful turn of phrase. D
