War Of The Lands Poem by Tracey Owens

War Of The Lands

The world bares the
Wounds of the many wars.
Wars that became legends
And some that have been
Forgotten over the years.
The world was to become
A better place, a place
Of great freedom.
Instead of freedom,
The world continued
To show the sorrows
And the pain of the
Distant years.
It was said we
Would have a better
Future in time,
But all I see is a darker
world to come.

The men and women
Fight for the freedom
Of our country and land
They give up their lives
For the safety of others.
In time the war was suppose
To be over with,
But still the people fight.

The violence is great.
Death is scattered among
The war torn land.

Families beg for the
War to be over,
But will the violence ever
End with the war.
