Watching Poem by Phil Soar

Watching

Rating: 4.5

I'm sitting watching bees
Get the pollen on their knees
Whilst background music plays
The birds all serenade
It's in this warm sunlight
That the images come alight
I close my eyes and listen
While the flowers are on a mission

They attract their pollinators
Like some hungry Alligators
Just waiting for a chance to eat
The next to taste a welcome treat
I sit and watch the time unfold
The day goes by with stories told
And as the darkness takes it's place
There is a smile upon my face
