Watching Poem by Steve Armstrong

Watching

You look over me,
And i feel hatred, disgust,
But i can say nothing.
I am silenced by your power,
By your might, by your control.

Others cannot see through your veil of deceit,
Taken in by your bitter lies,
But I, I know differently. I know the real you,
I can see you for what you are,
A monster, Killer of millions,
Silencer of us all.

I cannot tell anyone how I feel,
If i do, i will never be seen again,
I know what you do to people like me.
So, for now, i have to pretend,
To put up a facade, just like you,
Only I am no killer, I am no silencer of people,
I am no Soviet.

This gives one an eerie feeling Stephen, the pressure of silence. Nice read. L: ove Ernestine XXX
