Watching Curtains Of Death Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Watching Curtains Of Death

Watching curtains of death waver in front of my sight, wondering
if they're opening up to let me enter the other side, at times
not seeming to mind if they do.

Yet, thinking of all those who would be left behind, sorrow tug-
ging at these heartstrings of mine so intensely that this heart
swells with sadness and tears overflow.

Running down this face from within a pain-filled heart, passing
by, realizing it's not yet time for me to end, walking on, living
fully for as long as possible.
