Watching Rain Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Watching Rain

Standing by the window
I watch the rain drops
Incessantly falling
From dark clouds above
That over vast lands
Slowly swelling

I watch raindrops falling
In a very steady way
Creating a tune
That is soothing to mind
As if to music of love
My heart is sewn

I watch the strands of pearl
Hanging from leafs, buds
And green grasses
From wings of bird and bees
From huts and sweet girl's
Swinging tresses

I watch the dark clouds in
Groups serenading vast
Expanse of the sky
Making deafening sounds
And shedding lights they
Majestically pass by
