Watching "The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe" With My Granddaughter Poem by Glen Kappy

Watching "The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe" With My Granddaughter

My arms were pressed against my chest—
this wasn't "too good to be true"—

the happy sobs were at the dyke—
I couldn't let them go—

she's only eight—and recently—
I didn't think she'd know

from ocean's black to heaven's blue
from Greenwich round and back

there's nothing, Lord, more wonderful
than all I've found in you.

For Grandparents, a Grand daughter is so precious and sweet. The time spent with the child is so full of joy. Nothing like watching a movie or a video of fairy tales and stories with the little child. Yes, you would be surprised of how much they already know. A delightful family poem, Glen. Wishing you a peaceful 2020 and happiness with your family.
