We are still here
She spoke without fear,
And also with pride, as she cried
When others wanted her people to disappear.
She spoke of her great forgotten nation
The Native American's this country's creation,
Then the whites came to explore, it's now no more
The fourth is not their celebration.
They had raped and killed and stole her land
After smoking a pipe and shaking their hand,
Then they killed the buffalo, from years ago
And they broke and arrested their band.
Her people were arrested
When from the whites control they fought and protested,
The country's true birthright, was not white
As God Almighty had requested.
She is still standing tall
Proclaiming this fact to one and all,
Murder, rape and steal, we will stand and we will heal
And we will never fall.
